Albright was awarded the design and management contract for a new fuel oil storage and distribution depot by Total Butler. The depot was constructed within the Westscott venture park development and is now fully operational. The Depot is for the storage and distribution of diesel, gas oil and kerosene and consists of 4 above ground carbon steel storage tanks each of 300m³ capacity and all contained within a reinforced concrete bund. There are 2 road tanker unloading and 2 road tanker loading bays with an extensive yard area paved with reinforced concrete providing parking for road tankers. As well as the detailed design Albright provided the initial topographical site survey and prepared the planning application drawings. Albright also provided engineering supervision to support the customer’s construction management team.

Overfill protection to 4 bulk storage tanks utilising vibronic type level switches with in-situ wet test facility and linked via a safety PLC to electro- hydraulically actuated ROSOV valves located directly on the tank nozzles.

Installation of remote operated shut off valves (ROSOV’s) in accordance with the recommendations of the Process Safety Leadership Group (PSLG) final report for 20 above ground bulk storage tanks at TDG UK Ltd Dagenham Terminal. Also included the installation of automatic tank gauging and temperature monitoring. Project is being carried out on a turnkey or EPC (Engineer Procure & Construct) basis.
